Andrea Zang was born in Bergisch-Gladbach on 29th January 1960. She studied with Prof.Zoworka in the Studio of Free Painting at Aachen from 2002 until 2008. Since 2007, the artist is a foundation member of the German- Belgian Artist Association „Atelier Kunstdialog“.
The paintings of Andrea Zang move in a world between reality and the world of fables. In this context, the artist transforms in a time consuming and unique way topics of inter- human relationship into a surreal world. However, she does not copy common and well known examples of literature but creates her own individual figures. They are free from physical laws and in their details full of whimsical implications that hint at our experiences of everyday life.
Her oil paintings are not only interesting content-wise, but also excellently painted in the style of the old master paintings.
Andrea Zang has had numerous exhibition in and outside Germany. LDXArtodrome Gallery shows her works also at high quality international art shows and fairs.
